how it started

Female veteran owned

Welcome to Ultrashade, a high-end custom tattoo studio nestled in the vibrant community of Grandview Heights, Columbus, Ohio. Established in 2024 by Taylor Shade, a female veteran whose global journey ignited a passion for tattoo art.

Taylor’s journey began at 15 as a Rotary Exchange Student moving from Dayton, Ohio to Chile, later leading to an International Studies degree from Miami University. While serving with the State Department and the Army, she cultivated a love for tattoos worldwide. After leaving Active Duty in 2021, Taylor returned to Ohio for an MBA at The Ohio State University, and now, she’s dedicated to sharing her artistic vision with Columbus, Ohio.
