FAQs
-
Get a good nights rest the night before, eat a hearty meal before you leave for your appointment, and please do not consume any alcohol, ibuprofen, or antibiotics at least 12 hours before your appointment.
-
I would bring water and snacks, especially if your appointment is multiple hours. You will need your ID, as well, to fill out the consent form.

You should wear something comfortable with easy access to the area being tattooed. I highly recommend against wearing any clothes you care deeply about, ink stains happen on accident from time to time and are very hard to get out of a white shirt (trust me)
As far as more tricky placements go, for all back/sternum tattoos I recommend a button or zip up for easy access to the chest or to be flipped around so we can have an open back! For ribs, please wear a bra, we will use it to tuck your shirt up! I have nipple covers if needed as well as privacy screens to put up… sometimes we don’t have the perfect clothes for it and that’s okay! We just want to try our best to avoid you being more exposed so that you’re able to be as comfortable as possible.

I try to respond within a day or so, but every now and then they can get a bit more behind than I’d like, so I appreciate your patience. Tattooing takes up most of my day, and when I am home I do my best to turn my phone off and be present with my husband. If I am on any vacations or anything that will lengthen my response time, that will be posted on my Instagram.

I do on occasion! It depends on the placement and design, and is very case to case. Feel free to fill out the booking form, specifying your age, and if I am comfortable with doing it I will let you know! For the appointment itself, a parent would need to be present the entire time, bring both of your ID’s, and a birth certificate linking both names together.

Yes, I require a deposit of $50-200 depending on the appointment type.
Deposits will be deducted from the final cost of the tattoo as long as the artist’s policy is abided by. Booking fees are non-refundable, non-transferable, and valid for up to 6 months from the purchase date.
Being 10+ minutes late to your appointment will result in a $25 late fee, being 20+ minutes late may result in cancellation and/or loss of deposit. Reschedules, cancellations, or massive design changes within 72 hours will warrant a loss of the deposit. In the event that you need to reschedule outside of the permitted window, one reschedule is allowed ahead of time. If another reschedule is needed, the deposit is forfeited.

I price per piece, not per hour, just in case I happen to be moving slower or faster one day vs the other. Design, detail, placement, and size are all factored in, which means I need all of that detail in order to give you an accurate quote. To receive one, please fill out my booking form. You are not obligated to book by filling this out, it just helps me get all of the information I need to give you an accurate price estimate.

Absolutely! Whatever helps you sit best helps me out in the long run! Please make sure to read the directions and apply accordingly, I do not apply it at appointment time as most numbing creams need to sit for 1-2 hours. I recommend timing that out in regards to your appointment time. Make sure to apply a THICK layer, you shouldn’t see skin through it, and then wrap with Saran Wrap and leave on until I take it off at the appointment. If you’re in need of a cream, madrabbit has some that I’ve had a lot of my clients use! Use my code TATTOOSBYKENNEDY for 20% off (and grab some aftercare if you want it).

While I do prefer to stick to my style and specialties, I am always up for a challenge / something different as long as I feel comfortable doing it. It keeps me well rounded! I will always be 100% honest if I feel like something is out of my wheelhouse. So feel free to fill out a form and I’ll let you know if I’m up to taking it on!

Not only can you get multiple at once, but I honestly recommend it. It's cheaper for you to not have to pay for separate supplies each time, and quicker for me to only set up once! We can do as many tattoos in one sitting as you want and are willing to pay for! I also offer patchwork sessions for those trying to build a collection of small/medium pieces, see patchwork FAQ.

The best way to do this is to book an appointment based off a budget. For example, you'd fill out the form, include a bunch of tattoos that you'd like to get, and give me a budget of let's say $400. I'll book you a time slot that corresponds with that budget, and we'll fly though as many of your chosen ones as we can! Obviously there isn't a guarantee we'd get through everything, it all depends on your budget and how many you send. If you've been to me before, you know I work fast, so this is an awesome way to get things patched up quickly!

No! If you and a few people are wanting to get tattoos at the same times it is FAR easier for me to just communicate with one person and look at one form. It doesn’t matter if the tattoos are matching or separate, I still prefer everything for one appointment to be in the same form. In the description just make sure to say how many people are getting tattooed, individual sizing and placements, and in the scheduling section only give me times that all of your schedules align! From there all communication will go through whoever filled out the form!
